The Devil's Punchbowl
Over the course of mid 2022 through early 2023, one of my favorite spots to explore is the Devil’s Punchbowl. This beautiful area boasts stunning views and a range of challenging trails. From the short and sweet 1-mile loop around the Punchbowl, to the strenuous and rewarding 8-mile Devil’s Chair trail, there’s something for hikers of all levels. And while the recent fires have left their mark, the beauty of this unique landscape remains.
As you hike along the trails, you’ll pass through towering rock formations, lush meadows, and shaded forests. The changes in elevation and terrain make for an invigorating workout and an opportunity to connect with nature. Plus, with the park’s convenient location just a short drive from Los Angeles, it’s an easy day trip for anyone looking to escape the city and recharge in the great outdoors.
